The National Park & Forest Protection Tour is relevant to every American, and to people all across the globe who come to visit the natural gems of the USA. Out of the 58 National Parks recorded in National Geographic's "Guide to National Parks" (7th edition), "thirteen parks have been designated United Nations World Heritage sites for their outstanding scenic and cultural wonders; 22 have international biosphere reserve status, signaling the distinctive natural qualitities." Unfortunately, our National Parks & Forests are in danger due to loss of critical staff (layoffs), lack of education about the importance of these ecosystems, and aggressive industrial practices which have previously been prevented under the sanctuary of environmental protections.
Along the journey of the National Park & Forest Protection Tour, a small crew will get to witness the wonder of natural spaces unseen, and imperiled. Biological topics like species identification, ecology, and moon chasing will help viewers discover the diversity of our land and waters, and give practical skills like navigation without digital assistance. Integrating our contemporary human experience into the wonder of nature is what makes this project different. The content holds integrity. It is recording history.
